Dr. Md Ekram Hossain is Bangladeshi citizen currently affiliated with the Department of Environment (DoE) of the Ministry of Forest Environment and Climate Change (MoFECC), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to joining the DoE he served as a Research Faculty (Assistant Professor) at Hohai University, China.
Moreover, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2017-2019), Research Associate (2013-2017) and a Research Assistant (2010-2013) at Hohai University where he actively participated in eight research projects of China’s national and provincial levels funded by Humanities and Social Science Fund Project of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) affiliated to the Ministry of Education (MoE), Jiangsu Social Science Fund Project.
From 2010, Dr. Ekram has been engaged in multidisciplinary research and published his research findings in renowned peer reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. Till 2023 he has presented his researches in different international conferences and attended training and workshops arranged by prestigious institutions in the world e.g. Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Hohai University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China; Columbia University, NY, MIT Sloan School of Management, MA, Harvard University, MA, USA; Purdue University, USA, University of South Florida, USA; Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan and many more.
To be mentioned, in September 2015 he was invited by the UNSDSN (United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network) as a young researcher of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) where the world leaders, key officials and stakeholders of UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development where the world leaders presented their researches and speeches in the eve of 2030 SDG implementation. Moreover, in the same year in November Dr. Ekram attended a week-long training program in United Nations Headquarter arranged by the WFUNA (World Federation of Model United Nations) with around 700 highly qualified delegates from over 50 countries engaged with the motto of UN, dedicating in international affairs, peace-building and sharing common values for contributing to the society and solving the critical challenges faced by the nations across the world.
During his professional and academic life, Dr. Ekram was awarded several awards, scholarship, and recognition for his excellent performances in academic achievements, social, volunteer and cultural activities.
His interest lies in learning new things and sharing knowledge with the young minds.
