Our Story
The beginning of CRID is not alike as you see now. The initial notion was grown into Dr. Ekram Hossain’s Md. Ekram Hossain .
thought during several stages of his research journey at the beginning through different activities of Hohai Research Forum from 2010 in Hohai University, Nanjing, China. Moreover his more quest of learning in Hohai University as well as attending academic conferences and workshops in many other prestigious universities globally e.g. Peking University, Beijing, China; Tsinghua University, Beijing, China; Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China; Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai, China; Columbia University, NY, USA; MIT Sloan School of Management, MA, USA; Harvard University, MA, USA; Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan and many more. Gave more profound knowledge and understanding of the research journey.
After completing his Ph.D. journey in 2017 Dr. Ekram Hossain shared his dream with some of his fellow countrymates who have been pursuing MS and Ph.D. at different levels in Hohai University.
On the 1st May 2017, Dr. Ekram Hossain, Mr. Mohammad Ali, Mr. Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Mr. Tausif Ali, and Mr. Shaiful Islam Babu sat together at their place of Hohai University Jiangning campus, discussed and decided to start the journey as Center for Research Innovation and Development Studies – CRIDS. That was the starting journey and after many more ups and downs on the 16th Feb 2020 the dream got its registration as a research center in Dhaka, Bangladesh named Center for Research Innovation and Development – CRID.
