China Research Lab

Integrating biology, data science, and innovation to solve real-world challenges

The Lab

The CRID China Research Lab is a specialized unit under the Center for Research Innovation and Development (CRID), based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a strategic focus on China-related studies, collaborations, and academic exchange. The lab serves as a knowledge and research hub for deepening understanding of China’s development pathways, innovation strategies, policy frameworks, and global engagement.

With a commitment to promoting mutual learning and regional cooperation, the lab engages researchers, policy analysts, and students in exploring topics such as China’s Economic Policy and Development, People, Bilateral Relations, Bilateral Trade and Investment, Language and Culture, Industry and Businesses, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), technological advancement, environmental sustainability, higher education, and international development practices. It provides critical insights and policy-relevant analysis to support informed decision-making and foster meaningful partnerships between Bangladesh and China.

The CRID China Research Lab plays a vital role in capacity building by offering training programs, seminars, language and cultural orientation, and research mentorship for those interested in studying or working with Chinese institutions. It also supports Bangladeshi students seeking higher education and research opportunities in China through guidance, network-building, and resources.

Aligned with CRID’s mission of impactful, multidisciplinary research, the lab actively promotes academic diplomacy and international collaboration. It partners with Chinese universities, think tanks, and development agencies to co-develop research, organize joint events, and facilitate scholar exchanges.

By bridging cross-cultural understanding with academic inquiry, the CRID China Research Lab strengthens bilateral ties and contributes to CRID’s broader vision of advancing research, innovation, and sustainable development across borders.
